Phoenix
A 1,500 sqft stabilized rammed earth dwelling with wood-framed upper storey.
The structure tragically suffered a fire during construction with only the rammed earth surviving. It is the first known modern rammed earth dwelling to have suffered from fire. The owner chose to rise from the ashes to rebuild.
